The Moi university Information Sciences Students Association (MUISSA) an organization in charge of students affairs in the school of Information Sciences, is anticipated to have new officials as from August 5. Among the the posts to be contested for is the chairperson, vice chairperson, secretary general, treasurer, projects coordinator, resource center manager, just to mention a few.
It has been established that the chairperson post has attracted three candidates so far, namely Ouko Robert(3rd year, media science), Dekker William(3rd year, informatics) and Makori Joshua(2nd year, information sciences). Other candidates are Makokha Kennedy and Erick Juma who are eying the secretary general post, Philippines Cheptanui and Matasyo Clement for treasurer, Omollo Stephen and Ian kipruto for project coordinator, Christine Kathomi and Origa Origa for resource center manager, and Stacie Letting and Kinuthia David for public relations officer. The fourth years' candidature is yet to be established.The MUISSA office fell vacant after the former officials were ousted out of office through the 500 signatures collected from the students as required by the constitution of the body, on the basis of corruption.

Meanwhile, campaigns are on-going ahead of the election date which is scheduled on Monday 4th August.
